Why Counseling?

Life. No one escapes without some kind of pain. Some seem to skirt by unscathed but this is only the appearance of things. You are not alone.

In my own life there was a time where life was just too much. I didn’t know how to keep going with the way things were. It felt like I was in a corner, not sure which way to go or how to get out. I needed help. I needed a voice outside of my circle, someone completely removed, someone just for me.

Although I had people around me I felt alone. Out of my league. My resources tapped. I needed help. Help with my depression, my anxiety, with the perplexities I found myself in the midst of, help with my marriage, with my kids.

The best thing I ever did was make an appointment with a therapist. It changed my life and has continued to do so ever since.

It was this very help that I received which inspired me to want to do the same for others. To sit with them, listen, focus just on the person across from me.

Unpacking your story, how you got to where you are, emotionally, relationally, spiritually, physically is the best gift you can give yourself and your loved ones. You knowing you sets you on a path to freedom. It is hard work, but it is oh so worth it!

We are not miracle workers, however, like trail guides, we can beckon you, encourage you and point out ways to take your next step. No matter what you are dealing with or where you find yourself, we are passionate about providing you with space, space to know there is hope. So take that next step. Give counseling a try.
