Was there even a 2022?
I remember being told as a girl, “Just wait, the older you get the faster time flies.” They were right.
We all have this one, precious life. Time is what life is made of. How do we want to use it?
Ask yourself these questions as we head into 2023:
- What do I spend most of my time doing? (A time inventory is an interesting exercise. Get a notebook and for 5 days write down everything you do).
- Am I happy with how I spend my time?
- If not, what’s one thing I can insert into my days which will make my life more fulfilling?
Other things to think through are your desires for this year. (I like desire instead of goals). What do I want in terms of relationships, finances, work, physical health, mental health, etc.? Saying “I want to…” instead of “I have to…” can be a game changer! Most of us find a way to do what we really want to do.
Think big picture and then break it down into small daily habits. For example, if I want to build more friendships (big picture), then I can choose a friend to shoot a text to and invite to coffee (small habit). If I want to get healthy (big picture) then I might start by walking 30 minutes a day…you get the idea! Keep it simple!
It’s also okay to ask for help. Sometimes when we look at our lives we become discouraged. Maybe we really aren’t happy with the way we spend our time. Maybe we feel too far gone or that it’s futile to even try. It is so important to reach out when we feel this way to gain another’s perspective and to receive encouragement.
Time does fly but we can make fleeting moments become building blocks for a life lived with purpose. Not a perfect life. A meaningful life.
Here’s to 2023! Know we are here to walk alongside you when needed.

It’s difficult to find well-informed people for this subject, but you seem like you know what you’re talking
